Under the Governor “Wakujaa” administration led by Andrew Mwadime, Sagalla Ward in Taita Taveta County is undergoing significant transformation through strategic investments in infrastructure and water access. These initiatives are designed to improve connectivity, enhance service delivery, and strengthen community resilience.
Key Projects
Infrastructure (Roads)
The County Government has prioritized the rehabilitation of the 7.9-kilometre Ngelenge–Kanyanga road, a key transport link aimed at improving mobility, facilitating trade, and opening up the ward for economic activities. The project forms part of a KSh 78 million county road improvement program.
Water Supply
To address water scarcity and improve access to safe and reliable water, three major water projects are currently undergoing rehabilitation:
- Mlilonyi Water Project
- Mwajika Teri Water Project
- Mshimbo Water Project
These projects are expected to significantly benefit households, schools, and local institutions within the ward.
