Here are the key projects and initiatives associated with Ngolia Ward
Infrastructure & Social Facilities
- Social Halls and Social Infrastructure: In early 2025, the Taita Taveta County Government handed over projects for construction in Ngolia Ward, including Phase 1 of Mlalakawi Social Hall (approx. Ksh 1.49 million), Mchanga Social Hall (approx. Ksh 1.49 million), and a new toilet facility at Ghazi Social Hall.
- Water Projects: As part of broader Voi Sub-county initiatives, Ngolia Ward has benefited from water infrastructure, including the historical 11-kilometer Kisambinyi-Ghazi Water Project designed to serve areas like Salaita, Majengo, and Ghazi.
Agricultural and Economic Empowerment
- Agricultural Support: Ngolia is included in partnership agreements for agricultural support, such as with Solidaridad East and Central Africa, targeting improved techniques for smallholder farmers.
- Community Empowerment: The Ward is part of the county-wide Wezesha Jamii (UPG) Programme, which provides seed capital, mentorship, and training to vulnerable households.
