Key Projects in Mboghonyi Ward
Infrastructure and Roads
- Kwa Father Mtisoni Road: Currently under construction, this project is set to improve transport, accessibility, and connectivity within the ward.
- Sub-County Road Upgrades: Mboghonyi is part of a broader Taveta Sub-County road improvement programme, including the construction of box culverts and key link roads to facilitate the movement of people and agricultural produce.
Water and Agriculture
- Taveta Bulk Water Project: A major initiative designed to enhance long-term water security across the region, benefiting wards such as Mboghonyi through improved access to reliable water supply.
- Value Addition Initiatives: The county is advancing value addition for key crops—including bananas, cassava, arrowroots, and sweet potatoes—to help farmers increase productivity, reduce post-harvest losses, and boost household incomes.
Healthcare and Education
- ECDE Infrastructure: Ongoing construction and equipping of Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) classrooms to expand access to quality early learning.
