Governor Andrew Mwadime’s administration has taken a bold step toward transforming healthcare in Taita Taveta with the launch of a KSh 352 million expansion of Moi County Referral Hospital, Voi.

The five-storey medical complex will strengthen emergency response, critical care, and surgical capacity while reducing costly referrals outside the county. This investment underscores the administration’s commitment to accessible, quality healthcare and prudent resource use.
By integrating ICU services, modern theatres, and an oxygen plant, the project positions Voi as a strong regional referral centre and delivers long-term value to residents.
